LESSON 2 : الدَّرْسُ الثـَّـانـِـى

In this lesson, we learn the use of ذ َ ٰ لـِـكَ meaning “that”, and وَ meaning “and”, e.g.

This is a house and that is a mosque. هـَـٰـذ َا مـَــسـْــجـِــدٌ وَذ َ ٰ لـِـكَ بـَــيـْــتٌ

Note:

1. ذ َ ٰ لـِـكَ is pronounced ذ َا لـِـكَ but it is written without the alif.

2. وَ The word is written close to the following word.
